As early as 2016, Miami's Jade Signature luxury condo project sent prospective buyers virtual reality goggles, so as to give these folks an immersive look at the model units. Jade Signature's sales director said the VR experience created emotional connections that succeeded beyond expectations in enticing prospects to visit in person.
According to the Miami Herald, 6% of construction companies have now implemented virtual reality technology in their workflow, and the adoption rate may leap to 15% by 2020. Inc.com also sees virtual reality and augmented reality as one of its top 5 real estate trends.
