According to Co.Design, shoppers made 936 million physical trips to IKEA last year, but they visited IKEA"s website 2.3 billion times, even though relatively few products are available online.
IKEA is amping up its online engagement investments. For instance, using the "IKEA Place" augmented reality app (free on the iOS App Store), I was able to project this TROFAST ($3) tub onto my desk and look at it from every angle.
And of course, IKEA also has a Matterport tour of one of their stores. Now (especially if you have a virtual reality headset) you can get lost in their big blue box from the comfort of your own home!
